Come join us for a rum-filled afternoon at the birthplace of rum! This experience takes you through the history of classic cocktails and techniques to craft your own delicious drinks from locally sourced ingredients while competing against the others at the end to create the best cocktail.
During the break, guests will take a peek at our stills in distillation.
This Cocktail Masterclass will be led by our skilled Mixologist, who will give you all the tips, tricks, techniques, and recipes as we shake, stir, and muddle amazing cocktails.
No, we do not collect from private homes, only west and coast hotels and select villas.
Does this experience include a tour of the distillery?
This is not a distillery tour. However, guests will be allowed to visit our distillation room to see our stills during the break.
Are children/babies allowed on the tour?
No, children are not allowed on the distillery tour. All guests must be 18 years or older. No exceptions.
Who does the dress code apply to?
The dress code applies to all persons on the property, both male and female.
What is the dress code?
All guests are asked to wear a t-shirt with sleeves (long or short) and enclosed shoes (such as sneakers, loafers or crocs).
Is there a restaurant onsite?
No, but this experience does include some light bites.
Does this tour include a tasting?
Yes, a tasting of our signature rums is included.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes, a reservation is required for this experience.
Is there anything I should do before coming?
Be sure to eat a large breakfast.
How much walking is on the tour?
This tour is not recommended or suitable for persons with mobility issues, expecting mothers, and is not wheelchair accessible. This experience includes about 1 mile of walking.
Cancellation Policy
2 days before it starts for a 50% refund with no refunds after that.
In the event of force majeure, Mount Gay Distillery reserves the right to close the facility. Should the distillery close and a tour or activity be canceled, the cost of the tour ticket will be refunded, or the tour can be rescheduled. Mount Gay Distillery reserves the right to cancel or delay tours at any time due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstance.
