Rich & Intense
A blend of rums distilled in copper pot and column stills, matured in American whiskey casks and finished in charred Bourbon casks. Mount Gay Black Barrel Cask Strength is bottled at 66% ABV and available only in Barbados at the Distillery and Visitor Centre.
Black Barrel Cask Strength brings layers of aromatic complexity with notes of leather, nutmeg, toffee and pear with smokiness and spice on the palate. The finish is creamy and round with medium persistence. This rum is best enjoyed over ice, allowing the flavours to diffuse and mature over time. It also works well in spirit-forward cocktails like a Manhattan or as a simple serve with soda water - the Bajan way!
